Responsibilities
Communicate with other flaggers using hand-held radios to direct two-way traffic into a single lane.

Use hand signals and directional signs to direct traffic around construction sites.

Remove all signs, barricades, and traffic cones once construction work is completed.

Report reckless drivers.

Responsible for the safe and efficient movement of traffic through construction zones, road closures, or other areas where temporary hazards may exist. Use flags, signs, cones, and other devices to alert drivers to expected changes in traffic flow.

Ability to clearly communicate instructions to both drivers and other flaggers. Maintain awareness of surroundings.
