Senior System Administrator

Ensuring high availability and uninterrupted operation of server and network infrastructure;

Setting up, configuring, administering, and optimizing Windows Server (2016/2019/2022) and Linux (Ubuntu, CentOS, Rocky Linux, etc.) environments;

Executing management and development tasks for Active Directory infrastructure (AD DS, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, OU structure, DFS, etc.);

Managing VMware vSphere (ESXi, vCenter) or Hyper-V virtualization environments, optimizing performance, and conducting capacity planning;

Developing, implementing, and regularly testing Backup, Disaster Recovery (DR), and Business Continuity solutions;

Implementing the company's information security policies, addressing security vulnerabilities, and managing Patch Management processes;

Managing Firewall, VPN, VLAN, and other network security solutions;

Managing SAN/NAS storage systems, optimizing LUN and storage resources;

Administering Microsoft Exchange and Microsoft 365 services;

Setting up, developing, and managing monitoring and logging systems (Zabbix, PRTG, etc.);

Investigating critical incidents, conducting Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and developing preventive measures;

Planning, implementing, and providing technical leadership for new infrastructure projects;

Preparing and executing proposals for improving system and network architecture;

Performing inventory of IT assets and maintaining technical documentation;

Providing technical support and mentorship to Junior and Middle-level system administrators;

Preparing daily, weekly, and monthly technical reports.

Higher education in Information Technology or a related field;

Minimum 5 years of work experience in system administration;

Strong theoretical and practical knowledge of Windows Server and Linux server environment administration;

In-depth experience with Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, DFS, and File Services;

Practical experience with VMware vSphere (ESXi, vCenter) or Microsoft Hyper-V;

Experience with Backup and Disaster Recovery solutions (Veeam, Acronis, or similar products);

Knowledge of TCP/IP, Routing, VLAN, Subnetting, NAT, VPN, and Firewall technologies;

Work experience with Fortigate, Sophos, Palo Alto, or similar firewall solutions;

Experience in managing Microsoft Exchange and Microsoft 365 services;

Experience with Zabbix, PRTG, or other monitoring systems;

Knowledge of SAN/NAS storage systems and storage management;

Automation experience with PowerShell, Bash, or other scripting languages is an advantage;

Possession of certifications in virtualization, security, and cloud technologies (MCSA/MCSE, VMware VCP, Azure Administrator, etc.) is an advantage;

Analytical problem-solving, decision-making, and teamwork skills.

Certificates: Possession of Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), CompTIA Network+, or Fortinet NSE certificates is desirable.

Familiarity with virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V is an added advantage.

Ability to effectively diagnose and troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues based on root cause analysis, with a specific focus on Cisco and Fortinet devices.

Strong verbal and written communication skills for interacting with users and team members.

Knowledge and management experience with monitoring tools such as PRTG and Zabbix.

Knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLAN, Routing, Switching, and VPN technologies.

Work experience with Cisco, HPE Aruba, FortiGate, and TP-Link network equipment.

Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work in a team and effective communication skills.

Fluency in Azerbaijani; knowledge of Russian and English is desirable.

At least 1–3 years of work experience in the field.

Preference will be given to those with experience in the ISP sector.

Knowledge and work experience with NGFWs (Palo Alto).

Knowledge and work experience with Local Traffic Manager (F5 BIG-IP LTM).

Knowledge and work experience with Cisco SD-WAN technology (desirable).

Knowledge and work experience with Cisco IOS, NX-OS, and IOS-XE.

Knowledge of wireless networks.

Work experience with Unify controllers and access points.

Knowledge of VoIP.

Work experience with Zabbix and PRTG monitoring systems.

TCP/IP.

Routing and Switching protocols.

English language (technical level).
