About the company

MinVolt is an e-mobility company based in Baku specializing in the rental and service infrastructure of electric bicycles for couriers. We do more than just provide bicycles to couriers — we build a fully functional transport system: electric bicycles, battery swapping stations, IoT tracking, technical service, spare parts, and operational support.

Our current goal is to make our service process more systematic and eventually scale this model to other cities and partners. Therefore, we are not looking for just a "bicycle mechanic," but a team member with an engineering mindset who is open to learning and capable of scaling our service department.

About the position

We are looking for a Technical Operations Engineer. The primary objective of this role is to manage the technical condition of the electric bicycle fleet, systematize service processes, analyze malfunctions, assist in spare parts management, and participate in technical communications with manufacturers.

This job is not just about repairs. The core focus here is to understand technical problems, identify their root causes, collect data, improve processes, and transform the service system into a scalable business unit in the future.

* Monitor the technical condition of electric bicycles

* Participate in the establishment and development of the service process

* Record malfunctions, analyze their causes, and identify recurring issues

* Track repair history, spare parts usage, and the technical status of bicycles

* Participate in the diagnostics and repair process alongside technicians

* Create simple and clear checklists for repairs and technical inspections

* Participate in quality control for newly arrived bicycles and spare parts

* Support communication with Chinese manufacturers and other suppliers regarding technical matters

* Prepare reports on warranty cases, manufacturing defects, and design issues

* Monitor minimum stock levels of spare parts and ordering requirements

* Conduct research on alternative spare parts and new technical solutions

* Learn to perform basic diagnostics on batteries, controllers, motors, braking systems, connectors, and IoT equipment

* Participate in building the service team and service standards in the future

* Education in engineering, technical fields, mechanics, electrical, electronics, automation, mechatronics, transport engineering, or a similar field is preferred

* Technical mindset and the ability to analyze problems using cause-and-effect principles

* Interest in electrical, mechanical, battery, motor, and sensor systems

* Proficiency in working with Excel / Google Sheets

* Ability to write simple technical reports and structure data

* English proficiency at least at a level sufficient to read technical documentation and participate in correspondence

* Knowledge of Russian is an advantage

* Experience with bicycles, scooters, motorcycles, cars, electronics, or technical service is an advantage

* Comfortable with manual labor and working with real machinery

* Openness to learning and a desire for long-term development

* Neat, responsible, and systematic approach
